Hello my crafty friends! I’m sooooo sorry I’ve not blogged for a while. I’ve been having a busy old time in Krafti world creating lots of things for docrafts. We are now having a much needed break in Paris staying in a lovely little apartment for a week, bliss! It also gives me a chance to catch up with you!
Here are a couple of cards I made that featured in the latest issue of Making Cards Magazine made using the lovely Owl Folk range from docrafts.
This is such a lovely fun range and really easy to work with. I love all the colours and what’s not to love about owls?
Right, it’s coffee and croissant time before we head out into the big city.
Have a lovely crafty day,
Hi crafty friends, it’s been a while! As usual, things have been very busy in crafty world and I don’t always have makes I can share with you just yet!
Anyway, it was lovely to meet some crafters on Saturday at a docrafts demonstration at The Glitter Pot. It was lovely to play about with all the latest ranges…
I’m loving the Owl Folk range, it’s really cute and easy to work with. It’s very versatile too as there are lots of colour ways within the range including orange and blue and green and brown.
The die cuts are quick to layer up and ideal for a quick card. Mixing them with an embossing folder adds a little extra texture and interest to your makes.
Unfortunately The Glitter Pot is sadly closing late June and until they find new premises there will be no more demos. They will still be selling online and hopefully will find new premises very soon.
I would like to wish Bryan and the team all the very best and I will hopefully see you again in the near future.
Good morning crafty friends, it’s a little dull here on the Isle of Wight but hey that’s ok, I’ll be tucked away in my craft room all day. A couple of months ago I was given the opportunity to create some cards for Making Cards Magazine. It’s a great mag with a really fresh look to it and because I spend a lot of my time making all sorts of different creations it was really nice to go back to card making…
I used the Papermania Nature’s Gallery range from docrafts for these cards and decided to make then round for a change. It also helps show off the lovely XCut embossing folder frames.
The decoupage images in the A4 Ultimate Die Cut and Paper Pack are perfect to create a quick card and add great depth. I really enjoyed making these and here they are in the magazine ….
Right, I need to hit that craft room!
Have a great day everyone,
hello crafty friends! I hope you’re all well and busy in crafty world. Things have been busy here but not too manic so it’s been a lovely steady couple of weeks.
May is just around the corner which means lots of brand new goodies from docrafts! My favourite range coming out is the cute Owl Folk…
I love everything about this range, the imagery is so fun and the colours are gorgeous!
Next up, for the men you your life we have Mr Mister….
There are lots of great decoupage, die cuts and papers to make cards that every Dad would be chuffed with.
There are also a great range of dies and embossing folders, here are two featured on this card as well as some elements from the Demin range…
Roll on May, there’s going to be some serious crafting to be done!
Hi crafty friends, I hope you’re all getting to enjoy the sunshine! I’m having a day off today as I’m totally exhausted from travelling back from Boston after my first docrafts trade show.
As part of the show we organised four workshops for crafters to enjoy including this Gorjuss exploding box.
Our Gorjuss ranges are very popular in the States and retailers were keen to snap up the latest range and also recreate this make in their classes. As the Americans love their scrapbooking we also created a distressed scrapbook page for them.
I’ve mixed the Capsule Eau De Nil and Bare Basics ranges for this make and also used Spritzing inks to really pick up the colour of the sea in the photograph.
Here’s me on our final day, meeting the customers, showing off our wonderful products and taking orders. I met some really friendly folks in the States and I’m hoping I will get the chance to meet them again!
Hello crafty friends I hope alls well with you all. Things in my crafty world are very busy as usual which is great. I must admit I’m looking forward to a nice long Easter weekend though!
So, as you know, part of my job at docrafts is creating makes for Creativity Magazine. I was at HQ one Monday morning and was asked to create a front cover card. I did feel the pressure, especially as the magazine was going to print on the Wednesday! After a couple of false starts I got my head around it and here’s the finished result.
This decoupage card was made with the lovely Simply Floral range and was perfect for Mother’s Day make. Needless to say my mum was very pleased to see my card on the front cover!
This second cover came as a lovely surprise as I wasn’t expecting it. I regularly contribute to Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine and when my copy dropped on the mat I was really chuffed to see my card on the front.
This Bellissima Floral shaker card is one of six in the magazine. They all have stamped frames used in different ways.
So there you go, one very happy crafter this month! Right, off to work I go, speak soon….
Hi crafty friends, I hope you’re all well and have been making lots of lovely things. I’m going to to have a craft free day today as I’m a bit crafted out this week although I’ve got a couple of write ups to do today.
I had a lovely docrafts demonstration at The Market Gallery in Southampton yesterday and I made plenty of cards using Craft Collection Pastel, Nature’s Gallery and Anita’s Toppers.
This card is made using Craft Collection Pastel 6 x 6″ papers and the stamps and pale cream trim are covermounts from Issue 56 of Creativity.
These cute kitties are from an Anita’s Topper pack which I’ve mixed with purple papers from Nature’s Gallery and the fabulous new XCut Lace Circle embossing folder. I’ve also added a Capsule French Lavender bow and trim.
I’ve used a bird layered decoupage from the Nature’s Gallery Ultimate Die-Cut and Paper Pack for this card. I’ve mixed it with the XCut Butterfly Aperture A4 Embossing Folder which I haven’t used in a while but is really pretty.
Finally, this cute quick make mixes elements from the Nature’s Gallery range with an oval die-cut notelet which are the third covermount with Issue 56 of Creativity. I’ve also used the XCut Sunflower Doilie die to add a lacy touch to the background.
I think it’s time for another cuppa, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
